The cards use three PCI Gen 3 x 8 links to support 4 x 40G or 2 x 100G Ethernet ports. The Netronome processors on them sport 216 cores and accelerators for functions such as cryptography, PCIe single-root I/O virtualization and RDMA over Converged Ethernet. The cards are configured to handle up to 24 million flow table entries, and 128,000 wild-card rules.

Huawei unveiled at the Mobile World Congress 2014 (MWC 2014) the world’s tiniest carrier-grade router — Atom Router. The finger-sized router allows visualized IP network O&M(Operation and Maintenance), real-time measurement of per-user and per-service performance, and delivery of more value-added services. The router can easily be deployed on any network nodes without the need for network reconstruction. This innovative router, targeted at increasing customer value, demonstrates Huawei’s competitiveness in the IP field.
